Is it just me, or is the text in the third panel comically undersized compared to Shatterstar's gigantic, line-covered, eyeless head?
Also, the background in that second panel is clearly being drawn from a top-down perspective, but if that were the case for the combatants, they'd be falling over. This is actually a very common technique, known as "having no idea what a center of gravity is." Liefeld makes extensive use of it in this and other panels.
